FAQ

Which real estate professionals can join the RAA?

Real estate industry professionals – such as mortgage lenders, home inspectors, home warranty companies, insurance agents, attorneys, title companies, etc. – have the ability to become affiliate members of RAA.

What are the steps for joining the RAA?

The first step to becoming a part of the RAA family is to complete the welcome packet. Upon completion, contact the RAA office to schedule an onboarding appointment. Appointments last about 30 to 45 minutes. During this time, you will pay dues, obtain your MLS log in, and have the option to set up your Supra eKEY. Affiliate members must complete the affiliate membership application.

How do I transfer to RAA from another association?

If you are currently a REALTOR® member of another association and would like to apply for a REALTOR® membership with RAA, you must complete the welcome packet and call the office to set up an onboarding appointment.

Make sure to have the following on hand:

  • Your NRDS number and the NRDS number of the firm with which you were associated
  • Your real estate license number and the license number of the firm with which you were associated
  • Verification that your state and NAR dues were paid for the current year
  • Verification and completion date of NAR’s Code of Ethics

How do I join a committee?

If you are interested in joining a committee, please visit the committee page to learn how to apply.

Each year, all applicants are reviewed by the Executive Team, after which the Treasurer makes recommendations to the Board of Directors for three new members.

What’s the difference between a Real Estate Agent and a REALTOR®?

Only real estate license holders who are a part of the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORS® are able to uphold the REALTOR® title. REALTORS® follow a strict code of ethics holding them to a higher standard and ensuring a high-quality real estate experience.
