The success of a membership association, such as the RAA, greatly depends on participation of its volunteers.

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR A committee

You must sign up for committee choices each year, as they do not carry over.

Please indicate your choices.

Most committees meet a total of 3 to 4 times a year.

All committees are open to both REALTOR® and Affiliate members, except where noted.

RAA COMMITTEES

Budget & Finance Committee *

Charles Ditch, Chairperson

Reviews financial statements and recommends annual budget to the Board of Directors.

Events & Community Outreach Committee

Tangie Narcisse, Kane Racca, and Tyler Vallot, Chairs

Plans, executes, and promotes all of the RAA’s major events including Gumbo Cook-Off, Affiliate Appreciation Day, and REALTOR® Appreciation Day.

Membership Committee

Claire Disch & Candra Scott, Co-Chairs

Plans and executes the monthly New Member Orientation program, makes recommendations on member services and promotes all local, state, and national REALTOR® events.

Cultural Diversity Committee

Jeff Bower, Chanda Moffett, and Annette Porter, chairs

Promotes awareness of Fair Housing practices through seminars and programs.

Legislative Committee

Walter Campbell & Becky Gogola, co-chairs

Monitors legislation affecting the real estate industry and promotes awareness to the membership.

Honor Society

Angi Trahan, Chairperson

Recognizes members for their association activity, professionalism, education, and community service.

Professional Development Committee

Brittany Boullion, Tiffany Pellerin, and Latonia Riggs, chairs

Coordinates continuing education schedule and recommends topics and classes to be considered.

Professional Standards Committee**

Paula Duncan, Chairperson

Arbitrates business disputes and conducts ethics hearings in cases of alleged violations.

Property Management Council

Robert Leonard & Jay Smith, Co-Chairs

This committee is dedicated to enhancing knowledge pertaining to Property Management.

* Note 1: All applicants will be reviewed by the Executive Team. The Treasurer will make recommendations to the Board of Directors for three new members every year.

** Note 2: Must complete Professional Standards training before assignment (REALTORS® only)
